The early years of life are crucial for lifelong wellbeing and opportunity, and parents and caregivers must have access to what they need to raise healthy babies and toddlers. Parents with sufficient financial resources, social connections, limited stress, and good physical and mental health are better equipped to handle the challenges of parenting than those who struggle with factors such as these. We know that parenting can be demanding, but parents who have a strong support system and access to resources can make all the difference and the National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers is here to help make that difference!
As NCIT members, we know the importance of prioritizing and supporting babies and toddlers in our society. To celebrate all our little ones, the NCIT is taking the month of May to raise awareness for key issues impacting infants and toddlers. The NCIT will host, “MAY all Babies Thrive” for the month of May. Join us in honoring National Baby Day and advocating for the necessary investments and solutions as we work together to advance Prenatal-Three policies and funding.
As the NCIT and our members continues to prioritize the early years and give our children the best possible start in life, we’ve also created a MAY All Babies Thrive toolkit to help you effectively communicate the values and priorities of this important cause. Let’s work together this month and beyond to ensure that families are supported to build a brighter future for the next generation. Too many infants and toddlers are exposed to early adversity that inhibits optimal growth and development, but together we can ensure that every child can thrive. Let’s exercise and execute, “No more MAYbe’s for our Babies,” and no more MAYbe’s for our parents and advocates too! Join us as we continue our mission to help babies thrive and celebrate for MAY all Babies Thrive Month.
