NCIT members will gather for the first in a series of targeted trainings, webinars, and conversations about a new state appropriations advocacy toolkit from the National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers (NCIT) specifically designed to support advocates’ work. The toolkit offers expert guidance into the ins and outs of state budget and appropriations processes, offering insight on how advocates can leverage each step of the process and every tool in their toolbox to increase funding for essential prenatal-to-three programs and services.
On April 4, we’ll delve into the value of appropriations advocacy work from all angles — policy, lobbying, communications, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from partners like Children’s Funding Project and Louisiana Policy Institute for Children who have effectively leveraged state budget and appropriations processes to advance change.
As our movement continues to gain momentum, we’re excited to unite and strengthen our efforts. Your role as an NCIT advocate is crucial in creating better outcomes for tomorrow, and we look forward to working alongside you to deepen our skills.
