How Lawyers are Securing SNAP Benefits for Low-income Communities Webinar

June 18, 2024

Join us as we hear from The National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) on the current struggles to access SNAP benefits and some basic protections and strategies for the families and individuals that use SNAP. The NCLEJ will also discuss SNAP applicant rights, how to identify and gather information about certain common SNAP problems, and the role that legal advocates and legal services can play in improving SNAP access.

After completing this session, participants will be better able to:

  • Understand rights in the SNAP application process
  • Identify common SNAP access problems and how to gather information to support the work of advocates and lawyers who address SNAP problems
  • Recognize ways that legal advocates can challenge these problems

The National Center for Law and Economic Justice is a group of advocates and lawyers committed to advancing economic, racial, and disability justice for low-income families, individuals, and communities across the country.
