Building a Food Security Ecosystem for PN-3: The New Jersey Story

December 11, 2025
01:00pm - 02:30pm CST

Join us for a 90-minute webinar hosted by the National Collaborative for Infants & Toddlers (NCIT) to hear how New Jersey has been tackling food and nutrition insecurity.

This session will spotlight New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA), the nation’s first state-level food security advocacy office embedded in the Governor’s Office. Participants will hear about OFSA’s groundbreaking work, including the New Jersey Food Security Strategic Plan, its six dimensions of food security, and the path forward for funding and implementation. You’ll also hear from philanthropic leaders and have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A and resource-sharing segment.

Speakers:

  • Mark Dinglasan, Executive Director, New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA)
  • Dr. Jenny Schrum, Director of Research and Evaluation Strategy, New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA)
  • Rose Rodriguez, Portfolio Manager, New Jersey
  • Amilcar Guzman, Program Officer, Pritzker Children’s Initiative

Moderator:

  • Katie Bishop Kendrick, Senior National Advocacy Consultant, Voices for Healthy Kids/National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers

Established in 2022, OFSA is the only food security office in the U.S. with its own budget and team, operating at the highest level of state government. Its mission includes strategic planning, public-private partnerships, school meals coordination, and collaboration across state agencies, philanthropy, and communities to address food insecurity.

We hope you’ll join us to learn, connect, and contribute to this vital work!
